DESCRIPTION:Latin GRAMMY winners Flor De Toloache\, an all-female Mariachi
ensemble\, will be returning to Muncie and performing in a FREE outdoor co
ncert as part of the 2026 Muncie Three Trails Music Series. Cincinnati-bas
ed Estrada Do Sol will open the show.\n\nFlor De Toloache\, which translat
es as “deadly flower” and also refers to a main ingredient in traditio
nal love potions\, was founded in 2008 by singers Mireya Ramos and Shae Fi
ol. The group weaves a variety of influences (e.g.\, salsa\, bactata\, cum
 bia\, gypsy\, Latin jazz\, pop\, hip-hop\, soul) into their unique sound\,
giving them an edgy\, versatile and fresh take on traditional Mexican mus
ic. They perform original songs\, new arrangements of classic Mariachi tun
es\, as well as an eclectic selection of covers that can include songs by
artists such as Adele\, AC/DC\, and Erykah Badu. Their mélange of the tra
ditional and the modern pushes the boundaries of the genre and brings Mari
achi music to new audiences. Flor De Toloache’s critically acclaimed sel
f-titled debut album received a Latin GRAMMY nomination for “Best Ranche
 ro/Mariachi Album” of 2015\, and their 2017 release\, Las Caras Lindas\,
won that award. Indestructible\, a 2019 GRAMMY nominee for “Best Latin
 Rock\, Urban\, or Alternative Album\,” &nbsp\;showcased their collaborat
ion with multi-platinum singer-songwriter John Legend. National Public Rad
io says the album “… pushes the boundaries of mariachi music and its i
nstruments through reimagined pop covers\, originals and original collabor
ations.”\n\nOver the course of the last few years\, Flor de Toloache hav
e played to sold out audiences in the UK\, Germany\, Holland\, Italy\, Fra
nce\, as well as performing at Coachella and at such legendary venues as F
irst Avenue in Minneapolis\, The Vic in Chicago\, Terminal 5 in New York\,
  DC’s 930 Club\, and Nashville’s Ryman Theater (The Grand Ole Opry). T
he group was invited to perform at the GRAMMY Museum’s Latin Music Galle
ry Exhibition ribbon-cutting. They were also invited to pay tribute to Lin
da Ronstadt at the 42nd Annual Kennedy Center Honors. Needless to say\, th
eir previous performances at the Muncie Three Trails Music Series they hav
 e brought down the house.\n\n&nbsp\;
